Upgrading

Upgrading from Previous Versions

If you have integrated with your FileMaker order management, CRM or invoicing solution, you'll want to review this page before upgrading to the latest files.

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD NEW FILES AND REVIEW RELEASE NOTES

  1. Download the latest files: Download Fedex 1.1
  2. Review Release Notes to determine if your integration will need any adjustments.

STEP 2: PREPARING OLDER FILES TO UPDATE

  1. Make a backup your existing files
  2. Update process MUST be run on a workstation and not on server
  3. Rename existing files as follows
  • NRG_Package_FedEx_Data.fp7 to NRG_Package_FedEx_Data.bak.fp7
  • NRG_Package_FedEx_Blackbox.fp7 to NRG_Package_FedEx_Blackbox.bak.fp7
  • NRG_Package_FedEx_Prefs.fp7 to NRG_Package_FedEx_Prefs.bak.fp7

STEP 3: IMPORTING PREFS AND SHIPMENT DATA

  1. Open NRG_Package_FedEx_Blackbox.fp7 and select the Developer/Maintenance tab. Press the "Import Prefs" button to import preferences from the previous version and "Import Data" to import data from the previous version. The preferences and shipping data update should now be complete.
  2. Now you can reset your files to multi-user mode if you are hosting on FileMaker server or using peer to peer sharing. Be sure to test your scripts to ensure that the upgrade was successful.
