Upgrading

Upgrading from Previous Versions

If you have been using a past version of NRGship and want to maintain your account settings and shipping history, you'll want to follow the instructions based on the version of your existing application.

For either 1.0 or 2.0 upgrades, you'll need to open the new NRGship files and go to this Developer/Maintenance tab in Preferences.

UPGRADING FROM 1.0 VERSIONS

Importing Preferences
While you could always just re-set your prefs in the new files, importing preferences allows you to not have to re-register your UPS account and licensing information into NRGship. This is especially worthwhile if you are already registered with UPS to receive your negotiated rates within NRGship.

Note: NRGship 2.0 offers UPS Address Validation on domestic shipments. To use this feature you will have to re-register the product. If your users would like to use the address validation service, it is worthwhile, even if you have to re-register. If you want to take advantage of this, skip Importing preferences, re-register - then import shipment data aftwards

  1. Locate the NRG_Package_UPSEd_Prefs.USR file from your previous version
  2. Copy the file from 1.1 or 1.2 NRG directory into the new 2.0 directory
  3. Open the new NRGship files and go to the Developer/Maintenance tab in Preferences
  4. Select the appropriate "Prefs" Import button based on what version you are upgrading from
  5. The preferences update should now be complete.

Importing Shipping Data

  1. Locate the NRG_Package_UPSEd_Data.USR file from your previous version
  2. Copy the file from 1.1 or 1.2 NRG directory into the new 2.0 directory
  3. Open the new NRGship files and go to the Developer/Maintenance tab in Preferences
  4. Select the appropriate "Data" Import button based on what version you are upgrading from
  5. The shipping data update should now be complete.
