Printers & Scales
The Printers & Scales tab is divided into the Printers & Scales Settings and the Packing List and Invoice Options. Just like with every section under the Developer tab, these are global defaults for new users and can be customized per user under the User & Workstations tab.
PRINTERS & SCALE SETTING
Label Type
Eltron = EPL Printer
Zebra = ZPL Printer
Laser = Any Inkjet or Laser Printer (8 1/2 x 11 output)
Doc Tab Location
This option allows you to choose where the Doc Tab is located. This is not available with USPS. For UPS, the DocTab will print on the bottom and only with Eltron.
Label Orientation
This option is only available for FexEx. It is not available for UPS or USPS.
Network Printing
Remote IP, Remote User and Remote Password information are all used for network printing. These preferences must be setup if you want to share a networked Eltron or Zebra printer. This will only be successful if you use a fixed IP for the printer.
Scales Setting
This is where you will setup your default scale setting for each new user created.
PACKING LIST AND INVOICE OPTIONS
As with your printer and scale settings, you have a number of options when it comes to your packing list and invoice options.
Standard
Select Standard to have a 8 1/2 x 11 packing list. You will be able to preview and print from the shipping record OR you can check the box and it will print separately when you ship.
Thermal
A Thermal Packing list requires that you use a 4 x 8 thermal label.
Integrated Image
Select this to have your shipping labels printed on 8 1/2 x 11 sheets with the shipping label on them. Simply pack your order from the pack list and then peel and stick the label to your box.
NOTE: If you select "Integrated Image", this overrides any label selection in your printer settings.
Custom
Select this if you would like to use the custom layout, which you can modified, for your packing list or invoice.
